AUDIO REVIEW
I *read* this story last year (2025) and was really smitten by the overall of the story. I’m not a fan of “forced” miscommunication circumstances that just cause drama and/or are unnecessary for the overall plot. This story had quite a few of those circumstances but not enough to ruin the story for me. Feel me? LOL It’s a good story that unfolds well with some deeply emotional circumstances that Brooke wrote respectfully in my opinion. I know the covers sells this as a “cutesy” romance story but it’s more than that!
As for our narration team, I was very pleased with Amy Hall as Tessa and Gabriel Spires as Clay. They both fit really well to what I imagined Tessa & Clay would “sound” like and also their “vibe” or I guess personality is a much better word. I wasn’t a huge fan of either of their male/female counterpart voices, not because there was anything wrong with them, but they were both too far away in range from what their counterpart “sounded like. You’re always going to have a difference, but sometimes it is such a big range that it can be jarring. This was one of those cases. However, not once did I think “oh, I have to fast word thru this” because of it so that’s a huge plus.
I’d rate my audio experience a solid 4 stars!
