Tate and Neve were everything i wanted out of MC. She loves her small-town life and has no interest in settling down. He comes back to town and suddenly finds himself facing the one thing he’s always wanted: a family of his own. Watching these two navigate the curve ball (and maybe a little magic) life unexpectedly gave them in the form of parenthood was so fun to read. Their inability to express what they truly want and fight the fears life has given them had me fully invested.
Tate is absolutely a dream man – minus not coming clean with the plans for her business. 🥹 He genuinely wanted Neve, their baby, and the life they could build together if he could just convince her to give them a fighting chance. Seeing Neve slowly realize he wasn’t just passing through, gave me all the feelings and hope for them both.
I hate to admit this – but i don’t think there ever was a character that i could relate to more then Neve. I know how it feels that life is passing you by while everyone else seem to find their footing. It was hard reading her inner monologue and finding it so familiar. That was why i fell in love with Tate immediately and was rooting for him to win the girl once and for all.
My favorite book by the author for sure!!!
