I thought I’d reviewed this version of Troublemaker when it released but it turns out I did not and what I thought was my review was actually for the previous version, because of course it was. Why am I like this?
However, I honestly don’t feel any different today than I did years ago except for the fact that this duet-full- cast had me giddy from beginning to end. What an incredible ensemble Kayley put together! Amirite? They took an already incredible story and made it sparkle! #FunFact: I’m on the fence as far as “full cast” narration goes because it can truly get to be a lot for my brain sometimes. Too many voices without a picture to look at can make me concentrate so much that I lose the story. It has happened many times in the past but not with The Big Picture Edition of this series. At first I thought it was because maybe I already knew the stories from years ago, but I think it is more because Kayley has taken care in her casting and really put together teams that work super well together.
In my review of the original I stated that this was going to be an author that I would be returning to over and over again, and I was not wrong. Not only have I relistened to the original Name in Lights series several times, but also every other series and/or story of hers because her humor makes me happy and she’s not overly dramatic with her conflicts. To be honest, I can’t think of a single time she has ever “thrown in” conflict for “drama’s sake” which is a huge plus for me. Nothing gets me twitchier than that!
No matter what version or format you choose to devour this story, it is going to be a romantic, entertaining, swoony and sexy ride! So, go forth and do your thing! :)
