When I talk about loving the second chance romance – this is what I have in mind. For the first half of this story, I was a sobbing mess. It was heartbreaking to read how sometimes love just isn’t enough. Dart and Trinity have loved each other for a very long time. But for the past 3 years they’ve been separated, Trinity thinking that they’re divorced. And when life gives her the gift she never thought would happen to her, Dart comes back and delivers the second biggest surprise – they’re not divorced and he’s back to claim what was his all along – his Forever.
As much as I cried, I also was rooting so hard for them to find the way to make it all work. I loved that he was open about what scared him when he went away. I loved how he was not going to let her refusal at first stir him away ever again. But I most definitely loved that despite her brain telling her not to give in, she chose to listen to her heart and give them the second chance they definitely deserved.
I’m not sure how I feel about this being the first book in the series. If this is what we’re getting, then I better stock up on my tissue supplies. This was by far the easiest 5* review for 2026!!!
