Caden and Lilibeth are like oil and water. All they do is bicker, but beneath it all there is an awareness and attraction that is becoming harder to ignore.
Caden cannot let go of the past. An ex hurt him so deeply that it feels like his’s heart has turned to stone. When Lilibeth enters Caden’s life with a sunshine attitude, keeping those walls locked away becomes difficult. Caden knows being together is a bad idea, but staying away is no longer an option.
Lilibeth longs for someone to call her own. She wants a family, but as the years pass, hope is slowly fading for her to have it. A crush on the grumpy cowboy has been there since the very first meeting, and when Caden finally gives in and offers just one night, Lilibeth plans to hold on to the memories. Life, however, has other ideas for these lovebirds. When they finally let go of the past holding them back, their HEA is just around the corner.
I loved these two. Their journey is heartbreaking at times, but you can’t help rooting for Caden to finally accept the love that has been there all along.
