My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Autumn and Sullivan aka Sully to her, meet under (kinda) strange circumstance. She came from Canada to get away from a stalker and ended up stay in Sully’s cabin, not knowing he’s also coming to stay there. When a big storm keeps them locked up, one thing leads to another and the connection they feel towards each other seems impossible to ignore.

They agree to give the relationship an honest try – but Sully has not been 100% honest with her. And when she learns the truth, will she be able to accept him with all his flaws?

The Irish men series has been a lot of fun. You got to love these men who are deadly but total sweethearts when their better half’s are concerned.

ARC/ALC REVIEW

I was/am a huge fan of Melanie’s Irishmen Duet and I beyond excited that she has expanded and spun-off with Sullivan! I’m also a huge fan of all of her “shades of Canadian Grey” stories (IYKYK lol). You know what, I’m just a fan! LOL I haven’t always been able to keep up with her releases in a timely manner, but I am a fan!

The story of Sully & Autumn was layered perfectly! We have a close proximity situation, which was perfect for their “mett-cute” and for them to develop a quick bond. I mean what else are you going to do stuck in a cabin? Amirite? It was a perfect set up as far as I’m concerned and it didn’t last very long. We then move to the “not stuck in close proximity” portion of their relationship build and because they were in close quarters for a few days the “getting to know you” portion had been taken care of, mostly. Now is when the real story begins and boy did it get thrilling and captivating! I really enjoyed this couple a lot. There was an ease to them that made me enjoy every minute that I listened to their story. Yes, John Lane and Maxine Mitchell were outstanding as they always are! At this point, I’d call them a power couple in the world of narrators! They work ridiculously well with each other, and I honestly love that I know the audiobooks for Melanie’s stories are going to be fantastic because these two are always the narrators! It’s a huge #win for my audio loving heart! :) When it comes to Melanie’s stories, I mainly listen and use the eBook as reference to highlight and take notes. That’s how much I love the John & Maxine Team! 👏👏👏

I also really enjoyed the fact that not only did Sully & Autumn have to “work” for their relationship which with everything they had to hurdle to be a unit in the same place (read the book to get those details LOL) was extensive and came with its own inherent set of conflicts but there was also a suspenseful plot-twist of sorts towards the end that was not unwelcomed. While I normally really dislike “last minute” shenanigans, this particular plot point was well placed and actually helped elevate the story. 👏👏👏

Fingers crossed Melanie continues bringing us stories in her “shades of Canadian Grey” world(s)! *heart eyes*

Meet Melanie Moreland: New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of twenty-seven-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample.

She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She’s learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
