ABOUT THE BOOK:
The engagement? Fake. The summer kisses? Way too realā¦
Finding the ring was an accident. Putting it on instead of immediately returning it to the rightful ownerā¦well, that was a choice.
One I instantly regretted when my grandmother saw it and excitedly assumed it was mine.
I wanted to correct her. Started to, in fact.
Until I was interrupted by my childhood best friendās proposal.
But what Brady proposed wasnāt marriage; it was a temporary, mutually beneficial arrangement that tested the boundaries of our friendship.
Because it wasnāt long before my grandmother started planning the weddingā¦and the hot chemistry I had with Brady got even hotter.
Now, I need a way out of this mess that doesnāt end with losing the best friend Iāve ever had. Entirely doable, right?
Should be. Assuming I can stop falling in loveāand into bedāwith my fake fiancĆ©.

Summer Kisses: A Fake Engagement Beach Romance by Lea Coll
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Brady and Hazel have been best friends since they were little⦠until suddenly, theyāre engaged. The lead-up to the engagement isnāt fully explained at first, but both of them play along to avoid embarrassment and get what they need out of the arrangement. But of course, itās not that simpleātheyāve both had feelings for each other for a long time and were just too afraid to act on them. Once they finally let go of that fear? Sparks definitely fly all over the pages.
My main issue with these two was the assumptions and lack of communication. Iāve got to be honestāit was a tough pill to swallow. But after thinking it over, I can put it up to them being young, and I was able to move past it. Overall, it made for a nice weekend read.
Now Iām just over here waiting for Ivyās story. I have a feeling about how that oneās going to play out, and Iām more than ready to dive into it!
