I’m not sure where to start with this story. Leo might be one of my favorites in all the books I’ve read written by Louise Bay. His first love scared him good and his last attempt at love wasn’t much better. He’s closed off his heart for good it would seem. But when getting a big award means coming face to face with the first woman who broke his heart, he needs a shield and who better than his assistant Jules.
Jules still has strong feelings about how she met her boss. But when he presents his problem she is more than ready to play the part of a devoting fiancé, if it means she gets a shot at her dream job. Spending time together leading up to his award ceremony, they start to see the different sides to each other and soon the connection is overwhelming and falling in bed together makes perfect sense. But what happens when her past comes knocking? They’ll both have to lower their defenses if they want to sail off into the HEA.
I’ve read this book in one sitting as one should when it’s funny, engaging and swoony. If there is one thing to say about this book is, you need to read it ASAP!!!
