TRAV

I remember the first time I met Dylan Rodriguez. It was one sweaty encounter I’ll never forget.

The second time we met, he arrested me. I can still see the hot scowl on his beautiful face as he slapped handcuffs on me and realized I was … me.

Dylan’s main goal in life is to forget he ever met me. My goal is to make him mine.

Turns out, I’m better at this game than he is.

DYLAN

When my law enforcement career falls to pieces in front of my own eyes, I don’t know who I can trust.

I have nowhere to go. No one to turn to.

Asking Trav for help is a last resort, but I’m desperate.

If he can’t get me out of this mess, I may as well turn myself over to the guys hunting me down.

I’m not sure which will be more difficult: protecting my life or my heart.

Because when it comes to love, my heart wants what my brain doesn’t. It wants Travis West.

Rogue by Eden Finley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dylan “Rogue” Rodriguez, DEA agent. Seven years since his first “encounter” with Travis West. Years of crossed paths and innuendo. Trav has to be dirty, doesn’t he? In spite of his mistrust, Dylan runs to Trav when a simple operation turns deadly and Dylan doesn’t know who to trust. He’s pretty sure his nemesis will help him. Of course Trav will, but there’s always a price. “Ironically, running away with Trav to save my life might just kill me.” As they spend time trying to stay ahead of the bad guys, Dylan realizes that Trav’s whole goal has been to protect him above all else.

These guys are a hoot. The camaraderie is great (if a bit verbally abusive). Rogue and Trav are perfect together. Sometimes in thrillers the tension gets to be too much, not here though. I thought it was well maintained throughout.

I really liked that Iris, Saint, and Princess Smooshy Face made an (impressive) appearance. Overall this was a really nice story. Writing was well done. An appropriate amount of happy times (like a lot). I’d read the Mike Bravo Ops: Iris first just to get a feel for all the guys. Don’t know if there are any more books planned but I really want Domino’s story.

Iris by Eden Finley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mike Bravo, Mothereffin Badasses, Private contractors, “Because how else can the military justify a rescue crew for people who technically don’t exist on a mission that never happened?”

He got his name in the military, “I require intense supervision” Isaac “Iris” Griffin. “Sometimes I think I shouldn’t be allowed to make any adult decisions and that I really do live up to the Iris name.” “I’m devastatingly fierce, fu**youverymuch. I’m a scary mother***ker.” Saint agrees!!!!

Great story, with strong characters. It felt like at times it was trying to be angsty but I just didn’t feel like it was. Their lives were full of action. I loved the training sequence. Not much backstory but what there was really added to the enjoyment of the story. Iris and Saint matured since they met in training ten years ago (thank the stars). A younger Iris, would of been a little bit too much of everything to tolerate.

I liked their journey to falling in love. It was very appealing and engaging. I did enjoy this first book in the series.

She doesn’t take anything too seriously and lives to create an escape from real life for her readers. The ideas always begin with a wackadoodle premise, and she does her best to turn them into romances with heart.

With a short attention span that rivals her son’s, she writes multiple different pairings: MM, MMF, and MF.
