#FunFact: I discovered Kayley’s talent for word wizardry back in mid-2024 with this series, and since then, I have tried to keep up with all stories, somewhat successfully, because I love how authentically real her stories are and how humorous they are with an edge of dry wit and sarcasm and that’s my kind of jam!
When I listened to this multi-cast “Tour Edition” of Charmer, it was like listening to a brand- new story that felt familiar. That made me so happy! It’s the same way I felt when I listened to Sleeper “Palisades Edition”. Charmer is the same “story” as previously published, but this audio version truly transforms the story and makes it play out in your head with a lot more vibrancy. That’s a given with duet narrations and especially when you put together such a talented team. I should note that while I did enjoy the heck out of Jason Clarke playing the guitar, his singing was hmmmmm…lol, but it is always a huge plus when audiobooks have these little touches like actual singing and such when the story calls for it. So there’s that *shrug*
With or without the duet narration, this story is sexy and swoony and all around romantic as all get out! I loved the audio before and love it today just as much.
