Paisley and Chase were destined to meet. The circumstances that have lead up to it were far from ideal and it was really hard reading that first chapter. There were a few times in my life where darkness wanted to take over but unlike Paisley i had someone to share my burden with and she had no one.
Chase has lived a secluded life since his wife passed. He has his job and not much else. But when Paisley enters his life, he starts seeing that maybe its time to move on. Their relationship is not easy and both have demons they need to slay before they can sail into the sunset.
Laramie Briscoe is one of my favorite blue-collar authors. She has a way of making me content with her character and i have yet to read a book of hers that i didn’t like.
