OMG, my heart! Melanie Moreland I love you. This book was pure comfort. If you love protective heroes who are total grumps but have a soft heart and heroines who bring light into everything that they do, this is your book.
Jesse is your typical all-round hero. He is protective, has a soft spot for the spitfire that is his new tenant and will do just about anything for her. Casey didn’t have an easy childhood. She’s a wondering spirit and when feelings come to pass, she’s determined that he can do so much better. But Jesse is not letting go and he’s hell bound to prove to her just how much he loves her. And don’t even let me get started with the chemistry with these two. And I have no words for the banter – I laughed out loud a few times and caused my family to come and check on me. Jesse and Casey couldn’t be more different but somehow, they were both just what they needed.
I loved this story from start to finish and was kinda sad to see it end, despite the fabulous ending.
