Chase Williams.

Broody. Damaged. Reclusive.

He’s been keeping to his ranch ever since he retired from the army. The scars on his body tell a story of pain and loss, and there is no denying the demons of the past hiding behind his serious gaze.

Chase claims he isn’t anybody’s savior, and yet, he keeps coming to my rescue.

Now that we’re next-door neighbors, it’s impossible to stay away. My son worships him, and the more time we spend together, the more I get to see the man hiding behind the scars.

And I’m not the only one. Chase sees me. Not just that, he makes me wish for things I never thought possible, but can two broken people like us ever heal and learn to trust in love again?

Make Me Trust Again is a single dad, small town, single mom, neighbors to lovers romance and book three in Bluebonnet Creek series. This story was a slow burn with an intense emotional plot.

Chase was a grump through most of story, and understandably so. But he was sweet, caring, giving, and such a good man, even when ge could not see it. He had a lot of demons and PTSD. I would have liked to see more of that healing journey.

Rose was nurturing, kind, and loving. She was a warrior and it was awesome to see her blossom into the strong woman she was meant to be. She was a fierce mama bear. I also liked that she didn’t give up on Chase. She was 100% committed. One thing I will say, I felt she let her parents get away with too much.

There was tons of emotional elements which included abuse (emotional and a bit physical), family drama, PTSD and so much more. There was a light mix of spice and humor as well. Their journey was hard and very rocky, but it was all worth it to see them get their happily every after and build such a strong bond and found family unit.
