Victorious is book six in the L.A. Defiance MC Series and part 2 of 3 in the trilogy, which means it ends in a cliff hanger. Book three will be the final book in the series and all three books are told in multiple point of views.
You’ll be happy to know this book focused more on Clover and Phoenix so we could get to know them better and get more of their journey. But again in this book I felt the scenes with Clover and Phoenix became repetitive doing the same argument over and over. And although Clover is young her immaturity was tiresome.
There wasn’t as much action and violence that we usually see in a Defiance book but there was still plenty of drama, angst, and plot twists. This book is laying out the ground work for the conclusion and giving us more depth into Clover and Phoenix. There was plenty of banter and humor between these two when they weren’t arguing.
Tensions are clearly boiling over, big changes are on the horizon, series loose ends are starting to be tied up, and this may be the biggest Defiance war we have ever seen, bringing in chameos from past MC chapters. With how this cliff hanger ended, I am expecting book three to start with a bang.
Victorious: Part 2 by K.E. Osborn

At first, Clover & Phoenix’s story was going to be a duet, which is totally legit for their story. It needed a pause where part I ended and there was way too much MC business instead of Clover & Phoenix business in part 1 so it had to happen. No problem. Then the dreaded thing happened. (imo that is) About a month before this release it was announced their story would now be a trilogy. There were reasons and it’s not my story to tell, but I have to tell you, I got twitchy. It’s a me thing, I know, and I have my reasons, but I don’t feel like getting into all that and they have nothing to do with Clover & Phoenix.
Well, it turns out that Clover & Phoenix do in fact, need a trilogy. LOL
This second installment focuses a lot more on Clover & Phoenix and we get to experience their growth as a couple and as individuals. I really enjoy this author’s writing, especially her MC romance books, because she’s exceptional at giving you a story that you can be a part of. Her writing skills, which I sometimes call word wizardry, pulls you into a story, grabs you by the throat and most of the time doesn’t let go until the very end. In this case it literally did not let go! *blink*
When I say the focus was more on Clover & Phoenix that in no way means the MC arc was nonexistent, because we all know that’s impossible. Plus, there’s a war brewing and in Osborn’s signature style, I am absolutely sure that I for one will not blink a single time while it happens. #betme
