Fake engagements rarely end in heartbreak…unless the lines between real and make-believe start to blur.

To win custody of my daughter, I need the one thing I thought I’d never have—a fiancée.

Blake, my new live-in nanny, was the logical choice. The plan was simple: be seen together around the island, dating and looking happy.

Too bad there’s nothing logical or simple about my feelings for Blake.

She’s beautiful. Kind. And she makes me realize love might not be as unattainable for a single dad as I always assumed.

But my life is complicated. So is my relationship with my ex—and the legal battle we’re in. This is not the time to be starting a new romance.

If someone could just remind me of that the next time Blake is in my arms (and my bed), I’d appreciate it…

Summer Fling: A Fake Engagement Single Dad Romance by Lea Coll
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dalton has had my interest ever since he and his ex-appeared in this series. He’s one of the best characters Lea Coll has ever written. He was passionate, protective, driven to do whatever it took to make sure his daughter was taken care of. Even if it means putting his life on hold, due to his ex-doing all in her power to make him suffer. But something’s got to give, and he needs help – enter Blake.

She is everything he needs; smart, funny and patent and his daughter loves her on the spot. But ex is not happy, so they agree to a fake relationship to help Dalton get a steadier schedule with co-parenting. But when pretending becomes too real, both will have to decide if what they found is worth the risk and the fight to sail into the sunset.

This book was hard to read at times. His ex is a piece of work, and I was rooting for our love birds to find the strength to fight for their newfound love and life. Overall, this was a great read, and I can’t wait to see the next brother fall in love.
