This book had me from the first page because you know I was all over it as soon as I saw who our MC were.
I feel in love with baby Ariella in Only one kiss. And don’t even get me started with Jaxon. Our boy is all grown up. It was strange to read about him as a full-grown man, when I fell in love with him when he was introduced at just 8 years old. That can’t just be my problem, right?
Anyway…. these two have chemistry in spades. I loved the fact that when life threw them a curve ball, they adapted quite easily. But life is not all sunshine and rainbows, and our love birds will have to tackle a few obstacles in their way, and surprisingly no Mathew to cause nor to solve trouble this time around.
The story is fast-paced, steamy, and surprisingly sweet. I was hooked from the first page and I’m ready to see what this series brings up next.

“I should also head out.” I take another sip of my drink. “I have an early flight tomorrow morning and missing it isn’t really an option and flying hungover is just”—I grab the bottle of water—“not a journey I want for myself.”
He chuckles. “Let me drive you home.”
“Okay,” I agree and then we walk around saying goodbye to everyone. As we walk out of the room, I head with him but stop at the elevator and press the button up. He looks over at me but doesn’t have a chance to ask me a question when the door opens, so he steps in with me and I press the button to my floor.
“Where are you going?” he asks as he turns to face me.
“You said you wanted to drive me home.” I laugh at him, my palms getting sweaty as the nerves now build up even more. It’s all fun and games playing this scenario out in my head, it’s another when it’s actually coming true. “I’m staying here at the hotel.”
He’s about to say something else, but the doors open and I take a step out. I don’t know if he’ll follow me or not. I don’t even know what is going to happen if he does come to my room. Do I say goodbye to him at my door, or do I invite him in? My head is spinning. “Do you have a girlfriend?” I blurt as I get to the door.
He puts his hands in his pockets and he takes a deep inhale. “I don’t.”
I don’t say anything to him, I just open my purse and pull out my key card. I put it on the black round circle until we both hear the click of the lock. I push open the door and look over my shoulder. “Do you want to come in?”

🎧📚AUDIO & eBOOK REVIEW📚🎧
This story took longer for me to get through than I expected. It didn’t get off on that great a foot with me and I had to set it aside a couple of times. Not gonna lie, the Tiffany situation was twitchy and since it happened early on in the book, it kinda put me in the wrong frame of mind from the get. Feel me? Then a bunch of nonsense happens, and we are finally at the “reveal” and … “you can be as involved with this baby as you feel comfortable with…”. LISTEN, this might just be a “me” thing, but shouldn’t you let the “reveal” sink in at least for a few minutes before you’re already throwing out the assumption that he’s gonna be a “deadbeat dad”? *sigh* It’s a me thing, isn’t it? I might just be too old for these types of shenanigan conversations but, STOP.IT. LOL It’s lucky for me that all these shenanigans pretty much happened in the first 35%(ish) of the story and all was good(ish) after that! :)
This isn’t a “new” story with some “well played” storyline, but it was executed nicely and I think for those readers that have been with Natasha for the long haul, it will be more impactful because of the connection to characters they’ve read and loved from her past series. This series is more than just a “spink-off” of something, it’s what I like to call a “2.0 series” where “kids” from the original series get a journey to HEA. That is always a “sweet spot” for me and a plus because it makes me want to go back to whatever series was the original and make sure I devour it if I hadn’t yet, because I’m ridiculous like that! LOL So yes, I am now devouring all of the Only One Series as fast as I can and I am not mad about it! LOL I’ve enjoyed Natasha Madison’s writing from the start of my journey into her writing, so this is not a hardship at all! :)
Anywho, as I was saying, the bulk of this story felt pretty good to me and of course, having two exceptional narrators in my ears performing in dual narration did not hurt one bit! I love 🎤Connor Crais & Savannah Peachwood🎤 and they made a really good team as Jaxon & Ariella. I did more of a read while I listened to this title as opposed to listening and reading separately, because there was not time for separate, but also because I realized that listening (because I love these two narrators so much) would take any twitchiness that might come my way and dull it a bit by their talented performance! It was a win-win for me this way!
📚🎧The story rates a solid 3.5 stars from me and the audio is a resounding 5 stars which I will happily round up to 4 stars overall!

Meet Natasha Madison: When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…
