The story was not bad, but I’ve read better from Sawyer so i’m blaming this on the fool moon and am looking forward to reading the next installment in the series. This book, unfortunately, was not a favorite of mine. I think I may be showing my age, because I just couldn’t get into the whole “I loved one brother and then jumped into a relationship with another” within the span of a few days. I get the idea that they always loved each other, but maybe I’m just getting old.
But I’d like to focus on the positive elements of the story. Once I could look past the complicated dynamic of the brothers, Reid definitely is the kind of hero you want to root for—he regrets what happened with Lara in the past, though he doesn’t show it, because despite everything, he loves his brother. When Lara arrives at his doorstep, frightened and needing help, he offers his support without hesitation. The development of their relationship progresses the cars he loves to drive, and you can’t help but feel they were meant to be, even with all the mess involving his brother.
As for Lara, she was no doormat. She knew what she needed to do and did it. Yes, it stirred things up, but in the end, true love won, and hopefully it will remain that way for our lovebirds.
The story itself wasn’t bad, but I’ve read better from Sawyer. I’m blaming this one up to the full moon and look forward to reading the next installment in the series.
