Legacy is book three in the series, Twisted Kings MC. This is a motorcycle romance with the following tropes; grumpy/sunshine, age gap, touch her and die, single dad, daughters nanny, OTT Alpha male.
This story focuses on Legacy AKA Jesse. He’s everything you’d expect from an outlaw biker and more. He’s protective, lethal, intimidating, strong, curt, alpha and loyal to his club. He also has a side most don’t see; the sweet side of a loving single father and someone who loves his family fiercely. Then there’s his vulnerable side stemming from events childhood through adulthood that lead to where he is today. He’s battling himself internally, questioning his worth and choices, pushing away a possibility at happiness.
Reagan is young but extremely mature for her age. Growing up with a family that laid out high expectations her whole life. She never felt any real connection to most people, barely even her family. She was quite the fire cracker when provoked. She was caring, fierce, brave, loyal and an overall good and understanding person. She would sacrifice herself for someone else’s happiness and safety.
There was a good mix of drama, dark elements, spice, angst, violence, plot twists, and strong supporting characters. I did feel that there was some room to explore more of Reagan’s family, especially with her sister. And I really wish she would have made Legacy work a little harder after all his jerk moments. Overall an enjoyable read. Can’t wait to see what happens with Havoc, I have a feeling he lives up to his hame!

“You want me to read your ridiculous mafia romance?” His eyebrow hitches.
“I can find a motorcycle club romance if that’s more your taste.”
Jesse’s eyes widen. “They actually have that shit?”
I nod sharply, biting back the urge to grin when he turns back to the mafia book instead.
His gaze scans the scene, and I’m tempted to ask him to read it out loud for my own amusement, but when his eyes immediately widen, and he slaps the book shut, his reaction says enough.
“That was fast.” I circle the desk, stepping close to snatch the book from his hands. “Are you embarrassed, Jesse King?”
I’ve positioned myself too close. The air is all leather and allspice cologne.
His shock dissipates, and the power in the room flips as his blue stare bores into me.
I shift back; he leans closer.
He exhales; I inhale.
It’s all too much.
“Embarrassed… no.” He smirks as I feel my cheeks heat. “More like surprised.”
The invisible cord between us is taut. Each retreating step of mine is matched with an advancing one of his.
“So that’s what you read at night, Reagan?” His voice is smooth as honey.
“I was just proving a point. You can’t shock me.” My heart races. “I’m not saying I do that kind of thing.”
Jesse grins. “You don’t do what exactly? Mafia men? All three of them at once? Handcuffs and—”
“Any of it.” I cut him off. And this time, it’s my cheeks that feel like they’re on fire.
While I purposely picked a spicy scene for him to read, I forgot that particular one had so many participants.
Jesse leans closer.
My heart beats like it’s trying to find a path to him through my ribs.
The air is so thick it’s hard to breathe.
Does he sense it?
His lips nearly graze my ear as he leans in and whispers, “Now who’s embarrassed, sweetheart?”

When Legacy landed on my kindle at the beginning of April I took the opportunity to read Ghost before I started because I hadn’t been able to at the time of its release. That’s all to say with great emphasis, that these stories are not standalones. If you’re new to the world of MC romances, you’re gonna figure out quick that 99.9% of times, the club itself has a story arc that carries thru the entire series and then there’s the individual romance journeys. So no, not standalones. I will unlive on that hill forever and ever!
Anywho, about Jesse (Legacy) & Reagan and little Bea :) …
I read a lot of mc romance fiction and have been reading them for over a decade so it takes a lot to surprise me and this story had a few circumstances that did, so that’s a #win on its own. (view spoiler) I love how Legacy and Reagan were truly two sides of one coin, meaning true sunshine vs true grumpy but also that sunshine had sass and that grumpy had a gooey center! LOL I like that their relationship grew and wasn’t insta. Any other way would have come across forced. I do wish that Reagan’s past and family ties were explored a bit more, especially with the link between Lincoln and her father. It was a missed opportunity, but truth be told, the story was already heavy enough so I can see why Eva made the choice to brush over it.
I’m really liking this MC series and I am all about finding out what the what is with Havoc and Aimee! September can’t get her fast enough!
