Caleb and Stevie have been dancing around each other for a year now. The chemistry is there, but Caleb’s ex is making his life miserable, and he doesn’t want to involve Stevie. When they finally give in and spend an amazing night together, Caleb’s ex shows up, and he announces that she’s his girlfriend to save his custody battle. Stevie is on board with it because she sees what a good father Caleb is and wants to help him, plus spending quality time with him doesn’t sound bad.
Caleb wants her for himself, as he sees her as someone special who would help him grow in life. However, convincing her to give them a real chance might be harder than he wants it to be. Stevie’s life has not been easy, and believing in the good fortune coming her way is difficult. But the more time she spends with Caleb and his son, she realizes that despite her past, she is more than deserving. The story was short and enjoyable. I was missing something more to give this a 5-star rating, but I was entertained until the end.
