I’m not sure that I’ve ever connected with a female lead as I did with Noelle. My heart broke for her every time I read about how much she sacrificed her life to take care of her family. The feeling of not belonging, or worse, thinking you don’t deserve all the nice things, hit me hard. I had to put this book down a couple of times and collect myself before I could continue.
Killian has lived his life to the fullest. But now that he’s injured, he’s starting to question his life. Being surrounded by his family and Noelle is awakening feelings he didn’t know he had. Their past has put a damper on their friendship, and he’s determined to make them friends again. But getting to know each other again awakens feelings he never knew what to do with. Now he’s older and wants a second chance with the woman who got away before they even had a chance to begin. Getting his girl to understand and accept them for what they are might not be an easy task, but he’s more than the right man for the job.
My absolute favorite book and couple by Lea Coll.
