Football is my life. I’m not interested in marriage or babies or poopy diapers. Yet here I am, standing in front of a judge saying “I do,” with a six-month-old on my hip and an aspiring storm-chaser on my arm.

From the time I was a little boy, sleeping with my head on a football, I’ve had one goal: carrying on the Bradford-family legacy.

Our famous father trained all my older brothers and me to be star athletes just like him, but seven years later, I’m the only one still focused on the game.

Until Raven Gale storms into my life.

She’s smart, sassy, curves for days, and lightning in the sack. When I met her at my little sister’s wedding we bonded immediately over our dedication to our dreams, our determination to let nothing stop us, and our insatiable, all-night, barrier-busting chemistry.

A baby girl is a surprise neither of us expected, but Raven has a plan. We’ll have a quickie marriage to secure her trust fund, be together three months tops, then shake hands and walk away.

The only problem is with every late night I spend chatting with my wife or consummating our marriage (which we agreed was a bad idea) or rocking my baby girl to sleep or yes, even changing poopy diapers, the stronger our bond grows.

It never rains in California, there’s no football (for me) in south Alabama, but when you collide with a cyclone, everything changes, including what you thought were your plans.

THE WAY WE COLLIDE is a small-town, surprise baby, sports romance with a marriage of convenience, close proximity, an over-protective alpha daddy, a feisty plus-sized FMC, and a few twisters. No cheating. No cliffhanger. No third-act breakup.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hendrick and Raven’s story was a delight. I’m not a constant reader of Tia Louise, but every time I pick up her books, I’m reminded that I love her. This book is a must read if you’re into surprise pregnancy trope and character development.

Raven and Hendrick’s chemistry was off the charts when they first met. But that night changed both of their lives and now they need to navigate it together. I loved how supportive he is of her. I for one can’t stand her mother. Seeing her growth and finally accepting herself was such a nice touch to their story.

This book is a must-read. It will have you rooting for our MCs to finally admit that they love each other and are the perfect match when it comes to love. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series that’s for sure.

🎧📚AUDIO & EBOOK REVIEW📚🎧

For this release, I did both reading and listening at the same time. Because I did it that way, I can’t play the “which is best” game with you *sad face* however, I will say that Stephanie Kay could not have performed every aspect of Raven’s personality and her circumstances better. She nailed the essence of Raven in my opinion and deserves a standing ovation for it! Also, Aaron Shedlock did a pretty amazing job with Hendrix’s character. They were both a thing of beauty to my ears.

I fell hard for Raven and Hendrix as characters. What they stood for and who they were, as they say, made my heart very happy. I enjoyed them very much, however, their story wasn’t always jiving with me. This is completely weird, I know LOL but it’s the only way that I could convey my feelings about the overall of it all! Their story just lacked depth in some places that I felt were crucial and then other places I wondered why what was happening was even in the story. It made me disconnect from the romance journey a lot but funnily enough, I was never frustrated! I don’t even know how to explain that part of it except to say that my love for Raven and Hendrix as people overshadowed anything else. *shrug*

I am still highly smitten with this entire family and their significant others. I’m also still highly amused by all side characters and the joy they bring to the different stories AND I can’t wait to read all about Jake Bradford!!
