Judd and Genie have a tricky history. Genie had a crush on Judd for most of her childhood, and when he vanished from her life, it left a gap that no one else could fill. It’s been twenty years since they last talked, and now life has brought them back together.
But Genie isn’t a naive kid anymore. Her past has left scars that never really healed, and she’s pretty sure that romance just isn’t in the cards for her. Judd’s upbringing left him with his own scars too. He never got over leaving Genie behind, but when she reappeared, he saw it as a sign that this was his chance to change things. He’s determined to fix all his past mistakes and win her over once and for all. But HEAs aren’t easy, and they’ll both have to dig deep before they can reach the happiness that’s waiting for them.
Both of our MCs were very easy to love and root for. They both had their issues but I loved how they managed to resolve (most) of them by talking it out. And now I can not wait to see how Vale will manage falling for someone forbidden in the next installment to this series.
