The couple I’ve been waiting for and boy did they not disappoint. Marigold and Chase have been in each others lives since they were kids. She has had a crush on him just as long, but she never considered he’d see her as anything more than her sisters best friend.
Chase has started to get a bit uncomfortable around Marigold. He’s started to see just how beautiful she is inside out. But acting on his new found feelings was never in play, since he decided that his job as the towns sheriff would be too much for any woman in his life. But denying it can go on for so long until he breaks and kisses her. That one kiss changed the trajectory he has for his life. But when fears pushes too hard, he almost messed everything up. But he has a new mission in life and that is to show her just how precious she is to him and how much he will love her until the end of time.
I must say that these two are probably one of my favorite couples of Lea Coll. And considering that I’ve read quite a few books of her in the last 3 years, is say something.
