As soon as this ALC landed in my library, I was listening! The amount of joy I still felt from the last book was so profound that I couldn’t wait to find out if Helena Hunting had returned to stay a while! #IYKYK Well, I’m pretty sure she’s here to stay! *throws confetti* GAH, I am so happy right now! I’m not just happy because this story was such an exceptional experience for me, but I’m happy for the future stories that Helena is going to gift us with, and I just can’t wait to devour hundreds and hundreds of them! *throws more confetti* YAY 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Listening to this story was very immersive for me, and #funfact, so was reading it. Andi Arndt and Stephen Dexter performed their hearts out and I just found myself lost in the story for hours at a time. Like I didn’t know time had passed until I did. Better…you know that feeling you sometimes get when you arrive at a destination but can’t quite remember the details of turning here and there etc etc? (just me? …) Well, it felt just like that. I was listening and absorbing but it was more than just listening because I didn’t physically feel the time pass. OMG, that’s very convoluted but I’m not backspacing again so I hope you feel me! LOL I was in this story like an “extra” and I loved every moment of it. What an absolute dream team Andi & Stephen made! I am still giddy about it and I listened almost four weeks ago!
About a week ago (because I always wait till closer to release) I dove back into the story with my ARC copy, and I was just as engrossed in the story as I had been mere weeks ago. Hemi & Dallas were so adorbs that I thought I would burst from it all. They are a couple that you will want to return to easily whenever you’re in a slump. They have the kind of story that will stick with you for a long time and even after a long time, you might not remember details, but you will always remember the feelings that Helena’s writing invoked! #trust I am happy to report that all the feelings are full of laughter, heart, and hope! Dallas was an absolute dream guy for Hemi. The characters that Helena created were perfection for each other and the story that she unfolded for them was genuine, relatable, and very realistic. She didn’t overly dramatize any circumstance, nor did she leave plot-points blowing in the wind! I am so ridiculously happy over ALL OF IT and I can’t wait for everyone to experience this greatness!
