Kristian Krengel is the perfect example of that: his career started in the burn unit and flourished from there. Where he’s at now is not enough, being head of his department is what he truly wants. The problem is, he needs to deliver the perfect presentation at the medical conference to secure that job. Add in an insecure former patient and Kristian finds himself hiding his accolades so she’ll see him for who he truly is, and not just for his title of Doctor.

Here’s the deal – I liked the story I really did, but something is keeping me from giving it a 5* rating.
I keep trying to come up with a reason why, but all I can think of is that their night together felt a bit off. I’m not sure why it’s just Kristian and Holly (in my opinion) needed more time to see what they could be to each other, if that makes sense.
And yes I understand that this was a short story and all but the whole physical relationship needed more time to develop to the degree that it was at by the end of the book. Other than that I had no other issues with it. If you like a holiday themed short story this series is for you.
