Trey and Holland have a complicated history between them. She was a part of his family until she wasn’t. He hurt her deeply and now that she’s finally back, he knows this is shot at winning the only woman he ever loved and still does. But getting through to Holland might be a tougher job than he anticipated. But he’s stubborn and will stop at nothing to win her back, even if it means leaving behind his beloved ranch and his family to move across the world to be with her.
Holland is still wearing scars of his betrayal. She’s changed a lot in the last decade and getting back together with man she’d spend her life with is not in her cards. She’s home to make sure things are sorted and she’s going back to Switzerland. But fighting her feelings turns out to be impossible. And just when she thought that they might have a chance, tragedy strikes (Sawyer Bennett I’m not OK with how things turned out) that leaves them both hurt.
Getting to forgive him once had been luck, but the second time? He’ll need a miracle if he wants to have her in his life for good.
I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much while reading books by Sawyer Bennett as much as I did with this one. It was filled with so many emotions and hurt, that I wasn’t sure if I wanted them to be together or not. But at the end everything turned out the way it was meant to be and they found happiness in each other.
