ABOUT THE BOOK:

She hates me…
I’m going to make her fall in love with me anyway.

As captain of the SoCal Vipers, the last couple of seasons haven’t been going well. My stats are slipping, and I’m at risk of being traded.

So, I’m not in the mood for a case of mistaken identity with the woman playing bouncer at the arena door.

But when I find out she’s come to town to escape her controlling family and make a fresh start, I know I can’t just let her walk away.

I’ll do anything to make sure she’s safe.

And if that means claiming her forever…then all the better.

Because she’s mine.

Even if she doesn’t know it yet.

Icebreaker by Kat Mizera
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

How does one let down her walls when you’ve been hurt to many times to count?
Aspen did live her childhood surrounded by money but not much else. When she finally left that life behind, she was in survival mode at any cost necessary, even if it meant scrubbing seats after each hockey game.

When Banks enters her life, she is not interested in what he’s selling. She’s seen how men with power operate and she’ll stay clear. But he is not what she thought he was. After some persuasion, they being to hang out and soon they fall under the spell of each other. Banks is trying hard to show she that she is safe with him and his chosen family. But when they’re presented with a problem neither of them expected, life takes an unsuspected turn. He needs to clear his head if he wants any chance at having HEA with the only girl he ever truly loved.

From start to finish, these two had me glued to my Kindle like an addict, turning pages so fast it almost caught on fire. I’ve been a fan of both authors for a few years now but them together is pure dynamite in my book. I super excited to see how Royal is brought back from the dark side that seems to cling to him with a vice.
