Brandy has been a good girl and keeping her head down and working hard toward her goals of never having to depend on someone. And with New Year approaching and her moving, she decided to break out the good girl role and try and see if the attraction with a certain co-worker is there or is it all in her head. At the Christmas party she indulges and kisses him only to discover that the best kiss of her life belongs to this twin brother.
Max cannot believe his luck. He came to the party because his twin brother invited him and when a gorgeous woman kisses the lights out of him, he knows something special just happened.
As the night progresses and they exchange small pieces of themselves, he knows she might be the one. But her past has left deep scars and when she bolts, he knows nothing will stop him from going after her and proving to her, she can trust and rely on him no matter what.
I’ve been reading Carly Philips a few years now and I’ve yet to read a book i didn’t like by her. I’m not a huge fan of insta-love romances but this one didn’t disappoint and for a short story it felt a lot bigger if that makes sense. If you love a holiday themed stories this one is for you.
