Steel is book one in the brand spanking new series Twisted Kings MC. This is a motorcycle romance with following tropes; hurt/comfort, sudden parent, touch my family and die, found family, traitors daughter, etc.
This story focuses on MC President Jameson Steel. He’s everything you expect in an MC President; stern, authoritative, ruthless, intimidating, strong, and loyal to his club. He’s been hardened by many traumatic experiences in life. He has the weight of the world on his shoulders, even more so when Tempe comes crashing into his life.
Tempe is one strong woman. She’s young but had to grow up so fast. She’s protective, fierce, brave, and hard working. She would sacrifice herself for her family. She’s had a rough go at life, especially when she finds herself at the Twisted Kings compound.
There was a good mix of grit, dark elements, spice, violence, betrayal, plot twists, and strong supporting characters. Basically all the main ingredients for a solid start to an MC Series. I’m impressed with Simmons ability to dabble into new genres and release well thought out, entertaining stories.
