Rebellious is book three in the L.A. Defiance MC Series. This is a friends to lovers, forbidden MC romance. This story focuses on Noah and Rhyan.
Noah is a prospect for L.A. Defiance. He’s known to be reckless, wild, and often times finds himself in trouble with not only the law but his President. He is loyal and hard working, but he doesn’t think before he acts. He’s too impulsive for his own good which he internally wars with when it comes to Rhyan.
Rhyan is the club princess. Born and raised in the club adds a lot of overbearing protection she didn’t ask for. She’s often shy, but still independent and strong. She really comes out of her shell in this book and we see her sassy, some what defiant, and dominate side flare.
There was plenty of club drama, action, angst, betrayal, redemption, banter, spice, and plot twists. I did feel that Noah’s constant apologizing and groveling to the club every time he screwed up got repetitive. Additionally, I would have liked more about Rhyans future profession talked about with the club. I felt there was no reaction to her actual work but too much reaction about her being an accomplice.
Overall an enjoyable read. Defiance books are always full of entertainment so I can always expect a wild ride. Looking forward to the next book, and from the little Easter eggs in this book it appears to be a grumpy/sunshine trope.
EXCERPT
My eyes shift over to Rhyan as she plays pool with Clover. Her long, flowing chestnut hair falls around her shoulders like some fu¢k1ng Disney Princess while she laughs harmoniously at something Clover says.
How can I go from that hell to living in a place like this? With a woman like Rhyan here. I will never know.
Swallowing hard, I inhale sharply at how fu¢k1ng beautiful she is. Her tanned skin, her long legs wrapped in short jean shorts, wearing her usual Converse. Don’t forget the simple black and yellow Nirvana T-shirt. She doesn’t even have to try, doesn’t need to dress up or do anything special. She’s stunning in casual wear.
I shift my gaze to her father, Dutch, the Wise One of the brothers. He’s hugely respected here by everyone—especially me—because he’s the brother who found me and brought me into the club.
I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for him.
I owe him everything.
So, staring at his pride and joy—his twenty-year-old daughter, the way I am right now—is something I most certainly should not be doing.
Because she’s the club princess.
Because of my loyalty to Dutch.
And because I am a fu¢k1ng prospect.
The lowest of the low, the bottom of the food chain, in a motorcycle club.
Letting out a long exhale, I take another sip of my beer.
Stop looking at her, Noah.
I go to turn away, but she bends over the pool table, her short shorts riding up, her a$$ almost poking out of the hem. Inhaling sharply, I clear my throat as my eyes widen when I feel my ¢0¢k start to harden in my jeans.
