Malicious is book two in the new L.A. Defiance MC Series. This is an enemies to lovers MC romance. We first met Maverick in the NOLA Defiance MC Series, and he transferred to L.A. at the end of that series.
I feel like we really see a different side to Maverick in the L.A. series so far. He was always loyal, fiercely protective, and hard working, but we really see him come out of his shell. He’s a lot more bold, aggressive (not in a bad way but more alpha male), stubborn, and at times could be an ass lol. And his attitude really popped after he meets Sadie.
Sadie is independent, strong, sassy, defiant, smart, and so much more. She’s harboring some secrets and she can come off as snobby but that is more of a protective tactic she uses. I loved that she could push Mavericks buttons.
I am dubbing Osborn as the queen of action. Her books are always loaded with action packed scenes and this story was no different from the very start. Add in the drama, angst, betrayal, redemption, banter, spice, their explosive chemistry and a plot twist and you’re in for an exciting ride.
I found this book really enjoyable as I love a good enemies to lovers and this book really hit the mark with it. Their love/hate relationship was palpable and you could really feel the sparks fly between these two.
There were little nuggets of hints through the story, one being that the excitement will continue into book three between the wild prospect Noah and likely the club princess. Can’t wait to see what type of shenanigans Noah gets into.
