But as I get to know Arlo, I realize nothing could be further from the truth.
With the line between professional and personal blurring, Arlo quickly becomes the most important person in my life. When I have to decide between keeping him in my life or protecting him, I choose the latter.
I will always protect Arlo.
What I didn’t know was that the price I’d pay would cut me far deeper than I’d thought possible. Can I persuade Arlo to give me another chance? Or will I have to resign myself to just seeing him on my screen?
Red Haze is a demi-awakening, bodyguard x rockstar MM romance. The final book in the Caffeine Daydreams series, each book follows a different couple as they find their HEA. Although better read in order, these books can standalone.

Arlo is the drummer for Caffeine Dreams, a bonafide rockstar. His family life was gruesome and even though he escaped, it still haunted him. Never certain of his own worth, he let his past sometimes dictate his present. Because of his (and the band’s) notoriety he needed a personal bodyguard. Jack knew the (supposed) brat he would be guarding wasn’t going to be pleasant. However he wasn’t prepared for the impact one small drummer would have on his life.
Good points…a rich relationship, even if they didn’t know they were in one
good supporting characters with welcome visits from previous series’ characters
a believable stalker (who met with a satisfying ending)
neatly wrapped up the series.
Bad points…I know this author writes good stories but the I had to break up the reading because I got burned out from all the angst
the relationship (or lack of) stretched out too long with no resolution
lots of time jumps that just didn’t move the story forward much
Overall the book was okay.
