I cannot wait until I can devour the audiobook of this story!
The world that these two authors have created is impossible not to crave. I mean, okay, maybe some of you won’t crave it lol but O certainly do. It’s not just their writing skills that make the story great, it’s the characters they have created and developed. They are flawed, broken and probably a little bit psychotic in their own unique way but they fit perfectly and honestly feel real. While the first book in this world had a Romeo & Juliet vibe, this story had a Cinderella vibe to it and I cannot wait to see what they put together next for Oliver!
I think what I like the most about this story is the sheer amount of laugh-out-loud nonsense, both by banter and by actual shenanigans, that surrounds pretty much every interaction and action by anyone. This is not a romantic comedy, but I felt like I was in a romantic comedy a whole lot of the time I was immersed in the story. AND, I say immersed because once I started I could not stop! Okay, obvs I stopped because its like 400+ pages LOL but I didn’t want to and that’s what counts!
I haven’t told you much about the story itself, and that’s on purpose, because it’s so unique in its execution that I want everyone to go in blind. I went in blind because I rarely read any marketing of a book I know I’m going to read and this time I was just ridiculously pleased! I’ve had some bad luck this year with my reading/listening journeys, but this was not one of those! :)
