Viola
Once upon a time, I loved a man with my whole heart.
But unlike the romance stories I write, it wasn’t enough for a happily ever after when he chose the violent Iron Outlaws motorcycle club over me.
Now, I write books, enjoy a quiet life, and look after the miracle we created, the little girl I never told him about.
Except, suddenly, there are men at my door looking for him.
And there is only one place I can go for help.

Bates
Viola broke my heart when she turned down the cut and engagement ring I offered and disappeared from my life.
Now, she’s turned our love story into a steamy bestseller, complete with the happily ever after she wouldn’t give us.
But that isn’t the only secret she’s been keeping from me.
And now our biggest rivals plan to use her and the little girl with blue eyes and dimples just like mine as collateral to control my club leaving her no choice but to ask me for help.
She’s going to hate me for bringing violence to her door, but I’ll die trying to keep the two loves I lost alive.

***Review copy requested and reviewed on behalf of OMGReads Blog***

The Loves We Lost is book six in the Iron Outlaws MC Series. This is a secret child, second chance at love romance. This story focused on Bates and Viola with their journey starting out complicated and a bit bitter.

Bates is strong, fierce, loyal, protective, and stubborn. Even though he started with a grudge, he was good at communicating and being honest with not only his feelings, but his intentions.

Viola is independent, hard working, stubborn and mostly level headed. Unfortunately, she was also a worrier and was often too cautious to take chances which prevented them from having a happily ever after sooner. But as the saying goes; “all’s well that ends well.”

The storyline contained angst, violence, lots of spice, humor, happy surprises, plot twists, and so much more! Cole really knows how to keep us on the edge of our seat through this series. I also have to mention the fact the Niro has grown even more on me. I LOVED his bond with Avery and Bates. It was so sweet and heart warming. I can’t wait to see where the next book leads and I’m also keeping my fingers crossed for an Irish Mafia spin off. I need more Cillian and Thomas!

EXCERPT

Thereโ€™s a silver sedan between the first set of gates and the second. Theyโ€™re security measures Spark installed. And sure enough, standing next to the car, thereโ€™s a little girl holding Violaโ€™s hand.
The air gets sucked out of my lungs.
I simply stop. I donโ€™t give the instruction to open the inner gates. I donโ€™t take a step closer. I donโ€™t greet her at all.
Nothing.
โ€œIs this the man we came to see, Momma?โ€
Viola runs a hand through hair thatโ€™s just like mine. Not quite waves, not quite curls. The kidโ€™s wearing pajama shorts and a T-shirt and holding a stuffed dinosaur.
โ€œCan we talk?โ€ Viola asks.
I still canโ€™t move. โ€œWhoโ€™s that?โ€
โ€œItโ€™s Avery. Avery, this is Miles.โ€ Thereโ€™s a quaver to her voice.
Sh!t, thereโ€™s one in my voice, because I feel like this is my f*cking daughter. One I never knew I had. One who looks just like me, even in the way she tilts her head while waiting for me to say something.
And all I can think is this shouldnโ€™t be the way I meet her, sandwiched between two metal security fences while I stink of booze.
โ€œOpen the gate,โ€ I say to the prospect manning it without even looking at him. Because I canโ€™t take my eyes off the two people in front of me. And while I am going to punish the sh!t out of Viola for whatever clusterf*ck this is, I canโ€™t deny an almost-primal beat within my chest that they are both mine.
โ€œHey,โ€ I say. Utterly uninspiring.
โ€œHey, Mr. Miles,โ€ Avery says.
I walk toward the two of them, biting back the urge to stretch my hand between the gate, just to touch her. As I do, a van careens up the street. One of the best things about our club location is that a van canโ€™t just appear out of nowhere. So I know before they get to us that itโ€™s trouble.
โ€œOpen the gate,โ€ I shout to the prospect. โ€œOpen the f*cking gate.โ€

MEET THE AUTHOR:

The tattoo across my right hip says it all really. A Life Less Ordinary. Inked by the amazingly talented Luke Wessman at the Wooster Street Social Club (a.k.a. New York Ink). Why is it important? Well, it sums up my view on life. That we should all aspire to live a life that is less boring, less predictable. Be bold, and do something amazing. Iโ€™ve made some crazy choices. Iโ€™ve been a car maker, a consultant, and even a senior executive at a large retailer running strategy. Born in England, spent time in the U.S. and Japan, before ending up in Canada where I met my own, personal hero โ€“ all six and a half feet of him. Both of us are scorpios! Yeah, I know! Should have checked the astrological signs earlier, but somehow it works for us. We have two amazing kids, who I either could never part with or could easily be convinced to sell on e-bay.

Iโ€™ve wanted to be a writer for a really long time. Check through my office cupboards or my computer and youโ€™ll find half written stories and character descriptions everywhere. Now I’m getting the chance to follow that dream.
