If there is one thing to take away from Adriana Locke books is the fact that she knows what’s doing. I was a sobbing mess half of this book. It made me realize some things that are happening in my life need changes and soon so I don’t end up like our MCs did in the beginning of this story.
Jack and Lo have been married for 2 decades but the last couple of years things have turned sour. Somewhere along the way they’ve become strangers to each other. But with a little help from their kids and friends and family they were given a chance for one last effort to try and patch things up. And here is where the beauty of this book comes in – the getaway didn’t magically remove all the problems they had. It showed that despite loving each other sometimes that is not enough if both parties are not willing to put in the work and compromise.
But the best part is even when they managed to find their way back into each other’s arms, it wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine. This story felt real and I highly recommend this to anyone who needs a story that will help you start believing that all is possible if you love strong enough.
