I find myself wanting to lessen Lilly’s burden and what starts as a simple act of friendship turns into so much more. As we grow closer, I can’t help but fall for this fiercely protective and independent woman with a tender heart and bruised but not yet broken spirit.

As we face a future of never-ending uncertainty, I vow to be Lilly’s source of strength and comfort. Lilly and Aiden have reaffirmed to me the importance of giving and receiving love unconditionally, even in the darkest of times. And no matter what happens next, no one can take that from us.

I’ve been around Sawyer’s books for a few years now and she has made me love a few of her men but Boone takes the cake. And if you’ve read her books you know that’s quite the statement.

That man is a saint. He had a huge heart. Even if he didn’t do all he did for (and to) Lilly, the way he interacted with Aiden (Lilly’s little brother) and loved him would have been enough. But no, Sawyer Bennett had to go and make him so loveable that I’m not sure any man will ever reach his Divine status.

Lilly has been dealt a shitty hand at life. First they lost her mother and now her little brother is fighting for his life. And she has to be the strong one for her family. And when Boone lends her a helping hand she is reluctant to accept help but soon she is relieved that she has him to lean on.

As much as this book has its spicy moments, it’s so much more than that. It’s hard to put into words what a sobbing mess I was while reading it. And as someone who lost a loved one the way they did, it was hard to read it but also a bit comforting because I didn’t get to say goodbye and this gave me a chance to do so. So thank you Sawyer Bennett for bringing me peace.
