Denver is a security specialist. He lives with his forever friend Ford. He realizes he isn’t exactly straight and that he wants his best friend. Ford, a cop, meanwhile is given the chance of raising his son solo. His plate is overflowing with the baby, but he too has started to develop feelings for his roommate.
There is a mystery (case) that has unexpected consequences but that whole part of the storyline seems a little anticlimactic. I think I expected the police involvement to be a bigger part of the story. Denver’s job just didn’t seem to have much impact. I thought that since the book was second in the Hunter Security series, it should of played a larger part.
I did like the writing and their blossoming relationship was sweet, even if it was a bit overwhelmed with poopie diapers. This was basically just a sweet one on one romance with a little action on the side.

Dante is a world class mega star. Nixon is a world class hunk, otherwise known as Dante’s new bodyguard. Suspense, angst, and instalove, along with a dose of BDSM are the hallmarks of this story.
I did feel their Dom/sub relationship progressed very fast. Which, while it was consensual, just seemed hurried. I liked how Nixon cared for Dante like he was precious.
The writing was good and seemed well paced and the “who is the bad guy” kept the storyline moving along at a good clip. Supporting character (especially Anna) were also well done. Getting a look at characters for future books was nice. I like those glimpses into the future.
