I need a minute to slow down my heart. These two made me laugh, blush and cry in the span of a few hours. I’m going to have a HUGE “bookover” and I’m not even mad about it.

Leni is still the firecracker we all love. She gives as good as she gets, and she is not impressed that she must step in to help Duncan rebuild his image. But soon she sees him for who he is, and spending time together both in and out of the bedroom leads her to fall head over heels, despite her fighting it tooth and nail.

Duncan is super closed off. He is sick and tired of everyone trying to make him look like he lost a limb now that her ex is all over kissing her new man. But if he wants to stay in Hollywood he needs to step up and take charge. When Leni is his design plus one to an event, he couldn’t have planned it out better. He’s hooked with her witty banter, getting down and dirty, don’t even get me started on her huge heart. The more time they spend sharing secrets and life stories, the more lines get blurred and soon he too is falling. But they agreed they would end and when that time comes, no one is prepared for it. But love and chemistry like theirs is hard to ignore and soon they’ll have to admit that living without your loved one is not living at all.

Throughout the years, I have said countless positive things about Melissa Foster’s writing skills and sometimes I feel like just coming up with a nonspecific review that I could just copy/paste to every book I read of hers because she is that good!! I’ve run out of words kids and it’s becoming more difficult to convey just how profoundly good these stories hit!

Wild Island Love, brought together all of those things and then some. I once again found myself so immersed in the story that time had no meaning. I just kept reading and reading. I believed in Leni & Duncan and wanted them to succeed! I loved their wit and their sexy-sexy and I especially loved their journey that flowed thru the stages of enemies to friends and then to lovers. They grew as their journey grew and it was fantastic. Once again, I found myself jealous of fictional characters because I truly wanted to be in their orbit!

So yeah, go do the thing, because you can never go wrong with a Melissa Foster story!
