PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 Stars

Both PJ Morgan & Xander Marceaux were new-to-me narrators with this story and I absolutely loved their narration! They had the perfect cadence to their voices for these two characters and they kept me engaged until the end! Well done! I’ll be looking for more narrations from these two in the future!

STORY REVIEW & RATING: 4.5 Stars

Nico is the second book of the Belles and Mobsters Series. The story was fast paced, easy to read with twists, betrayal, angst, revenge, and violence. There are possible triggers. The story focuses on Nico Morelli and Bianca Carter. This isn’t a standalone in my opinion. Yes, if you just want to read a journey of two people to HEA, then yes, it’s a standalone, but there’s a series arc storyline that will eventually (if you continue with the series) make you twitchy if you don’t get all the deets from the beginning. Okay, I’m kinda neurotic about these pesky details, so maybe I’m the only one to get twitchy lol but why take the chance. Eva is an exceptional writer, so start at the beginning! But I digress …

Bianca started out as an intimidated, anti-social, struggling widow. But she quickly evolved into a sassy, brave, strong woman who faced her victimizers head on. Nico was a powerful, intimidating, criminal mafia boss, who always gets what he wants. He’s been driven by revenge for the last several years.

Nico and Bianca’s relationship was unconventional. There were a lot of secrets, and their relationship was based on lies and manipulation. They could have saved each other a lot of heartache if they would’ve communicated better, but that would not have fit their personalities. Through all their arguing, lies, and at times hatred, they still had an explosive attraction that could not be ignored. With all the drama, trauma, grief, and revelations these two have gone through, they deserved their happily ever after.
