How is it possible that I’ve read all the books leading to this conclusion, even read a few spoilers before starting and yet I still didn’t know who the main bad guy(s) is right up until the end. I’ve been a fan of LJ Evans for a few years now but good god this series is without a doubt her best work yet. How she managed to write 5 books with such mystery, heartache, pain and joy it’s beyond me. And this one started off with a bang and when D’Angelo aka Angel Carter comes to the scene everything starts unraveling with a speed of light. He’s sworn to protect Nikki at all costs and he is not going to let anyone not even Nikki in his way.
I’m not sure what to say more without giving anything away, but if there was ever a series I could recommend to someone is this one. 5 books about 5 friends who love each other dearly, and story about 5 men who would do anything to protect and love them unconditionally.
