Short, sweet, and exactly what it advertises to be … buuuut lol

I read a lot of these stories. I love all things age-gap / taboo in all forms. I get the concept of insta, short novella length stories. It can be difficult to write full development on all the things and insta is exactly that, an instant connection to each other. But here’s the thing. I really dislike when any stories starts the whole ”I know she/he is the one…” almost immediately. It happened at 17% in this story … *sigh* but why tho?! It completely takes me out of the rhythm of the story and I hate it! #sorrynotsorry

I won’t bore you with a whole thing about terms of endearment, but … kitten?? *hangs head* why?

Okay, these are my few cents on it all. Don’t spend them all at one :)

Honestly, can a title be any more perfect for this type of a story?! No, it cannot! #winning

This story hit the spot in all the right places! Feel me? *wink* lol

I’ve only read a few of Chloe’s stories so far, so I wouldn’t say I love her style/voice just yet, but this story hit the mark. It was fun and flirty, sweet and sexy with a dirty-talking hero that made me tingle all over! I mean what more do you want from a short insta story?!
GAH, these two were fun! I really need to read her backlist! Lol

You know what happens when you add circumstances that are life threatening to one of the characters to a short novella and try to accomplish some sort of connection with the characters that the reader will believe they will HEA ….? Well, one of those things can fall by the wayside (as they say) and unfortunately, it did with this story, imo.

I’m not a super fan (okay, fine, I hate it lol) of ”dramatics for dramatics sake” in a storyline and to put it bluntly, the entire stalker situation read exactly like that and did nothing but make me #twitchy. I just didn’t understand how it moved the story forward and most it made little sense to me. So, the sexy-sexy one expects from such a story was extremely minimal and the connection between Duke & Allie just didn’t have the page time it needed. I know, I know, these type of short stories don’t normally build romance, etc etc but you have to give me something to root for or at the very least, get all tingly about LOL Feel me?

Just my opinion. Do with it what you will.
