I’ve come to associate L.J. Evans with slow burn romance but good god what have you done with this? The tension, danger, urgency to keep her safe at all cost?!
Every book brings something new to the table. And Holden brought one of my favorite characters in LJ’s writing history so far. It was painful to watch him denying himself and Leya the passion and love they were feeling, but he knew he needed to keep her safe. I was going bonkers while I waited for every single kiss, touch to happen. To tell you the truth I’m not even mad that there are not many spicy scenes, because the flow of the story was perfect without it.
And here we are still nowhere near to finding out who the killer is. Hopefully I’ll get some clue in the next book because not knowing is driving me crazy.
