I’ll start this review by saying I’m not sure I loved Sam all that much. He was a standup guy, raising his daughter on his own, but when it came to Alice and the way a few things played out in this book, I’m not a huge fan. But I digress; Alice is trying hard to build her life after experiencing what fame and fortune entitle. She’s been hiding long enough and it’s time to spread her wings a bit. Enter Sam and his adorable little girl.
I loved the interactions between them as a family. It’s due to this reason, I have problems with Sam. The minute problems appeared in the form of his ex, he closed-up and let her go even if it were for a few days. But in those days, she was doing new things in which he didn’t participate despite her reaching out. To tell you the truth I don’t think he deserved the love she gave him so freely. But I can say I do think when he finally came to his senses, he was doing all he could think of to make sure, she knows just how special she is to him and his little girl.
Overall I did enjoy this story despite a few bones I picked with Sam. Now after reading the epilogue, I can say I’m excited to see how Lady Love will move with Mac and Natalie as our MCs.
