Captivate is book five of the NOLA Defiance MC Series. The book should be read in series order to fully understand the characters and plot, and because these books start where the previous left off. This is a secret child, MC romance focusing on Raid and Frankie.

Raid is loyal, intelligent, supportive, and can be hard on himself. He’s let his past prevent him from settling down. And now he’s making more excuses to hold back. He occailsionally let his stubborn alpha side rear it’s head.

Frankie is extremely caring and selfless. So much so that it can be unhealthy at times when she puts others needs ahead of her own. But she is strong and independent and never let’s anyone disrespect her no matter who they are.

The plot was unpredictable with some action, twists, angst, violence and even some funny moments. It was low on the spice but high on the emotional side. This book really hit different for me then the other books. The sorrowfulness twisted me up. It was also frustrating that Raid and Frankie wouldn’t cease the moment. But ultimately they had their happily ever after.
