BAD BOY’S DOWNFALL
Tennessee Thunderbolts #6
Gina Azzi
Release Date: March 2
Genre: Contemporary Sports Romance

Word on the ice: the only thing worse than knocking up your teammate’s sister is knocking up his daughter.
I have no business tangling up with Lola Daire. She’s a smart, idealistic, college senior planning to take on Silicon Valley. I’m an angry NHL player with a chip on my shoulder.
She smiles rainbows; I spit fire. She’s a daddy’s girl; I’m the last guy her father wants her to date.
A man with my past and demons will only corrupt a good woman. I know better than to give in to her playful flirting, but when Lola finds herself in a compromising situation, I break the rules to keep her safe.
We have nothing in common, save for the attraction we feel. We have no future, except for the moments that stretch between us. But our desire is insatiable. Our chemistry, off-the-charts.
One night turns into more and our casual understanding takes an unexpected turn.
I may be the cliché bad boy, but my downfall is the good girl with a baby on the way.

Bad Boy’s Downfall by Gina Azzi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
As someone who has trust issues I could relate to both River and Lola. It’s hard hearing and believing in good things people say about you, when you’re your worst critic. River has not had an easy life. He’s pushing everyone away, trying so hard to not get attached so he can’t get hurt. But Lola changed that. He’s drawn to her from the moment he first sees her. And now that she’s his, he’s not letting go.
Lola has her own set of problems. She’s young, so it was understandable to panic or not make smart choices at times. But I got to say I did not like how she hurt him, not intentionally but still, towards the end of the book. She thinks it’s impossible for someone like River to want her. And I got to say when they relaxed and were just present together, it was really beautiful to see just how good they were for each other.
Since this is the last book in the series I’m happy it ended on a high note. These men and women have made quite a few of my night and I couldn’t be happier about the fact I read them.
