The Exception is a single mom, billionaire, office romance. This is a prequel to upcoming series Billionaire Kings. This story focused on Kristoff Baldwin and Gemma Rose.
Kristoff is the definition of dominant and alpha. He likes control but with Gemma he is finding it hard to keep and he has a bad habit of letting jealousy get the best of him when it comes to her.
Gemma is a single mother and has had a hard and rocky past. She’s independent, stubborn, strong willed, and fierce. She always seems to persevere. I found that to be admirable.
The plot was thorough and entertaining with steamy sex scenes, jealousy, insecurities, drama, swoony family moments, and a happily ever after. The story was easy to read, albeit a tad predictable.
