He needs an image makeover, she needs a mojo upgrade. A new lessons-in-seduction hockey romance from Wall Street Journal bestselling author Sarina Bowen.
After I’m arrested for throwing a raucous party, my hockey team says I have an image problem. And I need to fix it, stat.
Charity work? Check. Haircut? Sure. But I draw the line at hiring my neighbor to style me. In the first place “style” shouldn’t be a verb. And I’m tired of people who’d judge me on appearances.
Vera and I don’t see eye to eye on anything. She wants me to try on clothes, while I just want to remove hers. She’s distractingly pretty, with soulful eyes and a sinful mouth that likes to argue with me.
But when management threatens my summer vacation, I grudgingly agree to Vera’s unusual proposal: she’ll give me an image makeover. But in return, she wants lessons in the art of seduction.
It sounds a little nutty, but I know a good opening when I hear it. Besides, it’s not like I’ll ever fall for her…

Love Lessons by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I haven’t felt this much magical happiness while reading a story in a while! I loved both Vera and Ian from the minute they hit the page, as individuals and as a couple. The development of their relationship was organic and full of so much fun! Even when they were bantering/bickering, they were just fun! Love Lessons’ premise isn’t something new, we’ve read variations of it a million times, but Sarina’s style of writing put a unique spin to it that felt fresh, and I adored every second I was in this world!
The one tine circumstance in the entire story I wish had either been spun in a not so predictable way or just completely skipped over was the whole reveal behind Ian’s arrest. I don’t want to say it was an unnecessary conflict, but maybe LOL The story already had a conflict written into it with Vera’s past boyfriend so … UGH, I just dislike drama for drama’s sake and that’s what that boiled down to but rainbow, even as I type this negative tidbit about Love Lessons not a single ounce of magic & joy is sucked out of my listening and reading experience! YES, I listened to the audio version and read an ARC as well because I’m extra and I loved this journey so much! Rose Dioro & Joe Arden made a perfect couple for this narration! They were in sync with each other and made the narration flawlessly natural and a glorious experience! I would highly recommend either the ebook or the audio or both!
