To Seduce a Lady’s Heart

The Landon Sisters, #3
Publication Date: July 10, 2017
Genres: Adult, Entangled: Scandalous, Historical, Romance, Standalone
Lord Jeremy Landon, Earl of Bennington, spent the last ten years rebuilding the ruined earldom he inherited from his scandal-ridden uncle. He has one final debt to repay. In lieu of money, though, he is manipulated into marrying a spinster…
Lady Eliza Burke is tired of living under the rule of a tyrannical mother. She’ll do anything to escape, even marry a man she doesn’t know—and a man her mother despises. Eliza doesn’t believe herself destined for love. Lord Bennington doesn’t believe he’s destined for happiness. Both are about to be tested by a scandal that could tear them apart forever.
In an attempt to finish restoring his family name, Jeremy weds Eliza, sight unseen.
Eliza sacrifices herself to save her cousin. Her mother is a cold, callous, woman, who doesn’t care much for the feelings of Eliza or her cousin. Jeremy is a man trying to settle a debt. He’s a bit selfish in the beginning. Eliza pulls the ultimate heroic deception, and the two embark on a journey together. I really enjoyed Eliza’s strength, balancing with Jeremy’s desire to make things right.
Overall, To Seduce a Lady’s Heart was a fun read. It was exciting as the tale was weaved and an anxious wait for secrets to be revealed. There were a few loose ends I felt could use tying up, and I’m hoping to see them addressed in future books. Overall, I give To Seduce a Lady’s Heart 3.5 stars.
