The Stirred Passions Series by Madelynne Ellis

Stirred Passions Series

by New York Times & USA Today bestselling author Madelynne Ellis.

RE-LAUNCH BLITZ

Publication Date: May 15, 2020

Cherry Bomb (Stirred Passions #1)

They couldn’t be more wrong for each other.

Flicka Caine

Chinchilla Studios has owned me since I was seven years old. At nineteen I want out. That means ensuring the Caine Chronicles isn’t renewed for another season.

Cue Operation Bad Girl – and being seen with quintessential British bad boy, and destroyer of reputations far purer than mine, Dare Wilde.

Dare Wilde

Flicka Caine lands in my lap like a cherry bomb, fuse already lit. She might taste like spun sugar but there’s nothing sweet about the ache she causes.

Too bad that she typecasts me like all the rest. So I turn her cute arse down.

That should be the end of it; turns out, it’s only the beginning.

Cherry Bomb is the first full length standalone coming-of-age romance in the Stirred Passions series, about the Sunsetters, a group of bisexual A-list actors and the women and men who love them.

Cherry Bomb by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For my first Madelynne Ellis book this was surprisingly good read. The plot had me turning pages without stopping. I did have some issues with the book but they were my personal views that had triggered.

Dare and Flicks relationship started a bit rocky with everything going against them. But they managed to end up together but not before stumbling over a obstacle or two.
Over all this story was funny, angsty, dirty and of course hot and steamy.

I’m glad I was introduced to this author and I’m looking forward to reading more.

Cherry Bomb by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I read this book way back in the day when Madelynne first published it under a different penname. It was outstanding then, and it is still outstanding today. Her writing has stood the test of time and continues to be some of the sexiest, well developed stories I have had the pleasure of reading.

I know I’m going to sound biased, but I promise you, this isn’t coming from a biased place. These characters have unrivaled depth to them. They are characters you will not want to stop reading about, living lives that are relatable and real. Yes, this story/series is about actors so maybe not exactly you and me, I don’t know, but what you imagine the plight of actors to be is very well represented in this book/series.

Flicka and Dare …. *happy sigh* I mean that’s the best I can come up with for them. Dare is so beyond swoon-worthy that I don’t know what word to use! This is a coming of age story but I’m telling you it does not read like most coming of age stories I’ve ever read. Obviously that’s because of their circumstances and Madelynne made sure to represent that perfectly, not only in the story-line but also in the characters. She wrote these two with intense chemistry and their story had just the right amount of suspense to keep you glued to the story!

READ THIS SERIES! I promise you that you will not be disappointed!

Black Velvet (Stirred Passions #2)

Lorne

My best friend just hooked up with the girl of his dreams. To say I’m devastated is an understatement. But, it’s nothing a nice rebound relationship can’t fix.

At least that’s the story I spin myself.

So, go out. Get drunk. Get laid. Wake up fixed.

It’s a plan. A sound plan. Even a half sensible one.

That’d be why I seduce my straight—questioning—soon to be new co-star instead.

But it’s cool. It’s fine. Honestly.

Until she shows up.

His very wet dream. In our bath tub.

And then we get snowed in.

Black Velvet is a steamy emotional romance featuring a heart-broken hero, a videogame geek, and an unexpected guest. It includes M/F, M/M, & M/M/F encounters. Dive in and discover why readers say no one writes bisexual bad boys like Madelynne Ellis.

Black Velvet by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lorne and Jasper were really great couple. They were super hot. I really liked them together with the whole exploring their attraction.
But when Mikayla enters the picture some of that chemistry was lost due to her involvement (for me). I think this story would be better if it was just MM, but that’s just my
opinion. Don’t get me wrong it was an OK read and I did laugh a few times and was biting my nails with the tension but I just wish there was more WOW factor when the 3 of them were together.

Because I loved Lorne and Jasper I’m giving this one -4*.

Black Velvet by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I first read this story when it was called Bath Bomb. I wasn’t a fan of the title back then, but I understood where it came from. Black Velvet suites this story a heck of a lot better though! Also, this version has, I don’t want to say better but I am lol, storyline all around.

No one, and I seriously mean that, writes M/M and M/M/F like Madelynne does in all genres she writes in. I am highly familiar with her Historical Erotic Romances and she is a queen at sexually driven storylines. This is one of those stories. However, it is also a deeply emotional story if you pay attention. If any of you are familiar with a character named Trey Mills from the series Sinners on Tour by Olivia Cunning, then you will totally get why even though this is a very sexual book, the emotional weight behind the storyline is what really drives the story-line. The ending was a bit bittersweet for me and I could have done without the entire last chapter but *shrug*

Soul Kiss (Stirred Passions #3)

Dylan Drake

Kira Carter-Wells—badass bodyguard, and the most unconvincing “fake” date for the evening ever presented by a studio exec.

Guys, seriously, I’ve been out and proud since I was eleven. Women do naff all for me. Zero groin excitement. This is a farce.

Kira Carter-Wells.

My mission, keep my drop dead sexy charge away from any knife-wielding maniacs and tuck him into bed early. Alone. It should be simple. He’s gay. I’m straight. Zero complications should arise.

I don’t understand the sparks that ignite between us any more than he does, but once lit there’s no snuffing them out.

It can’t possibly work. Or can it?

One of us is going to wind up hurt, and I’m damn sure it’s not going to be me.

Soul Kiss is an angst heavy, trope-twisting, bodyguard romance, encompassing one man’s journey of self-discovery. It contains M/M and M/F depictions. If you’re not okay with the complexities of human sexuality, best give this one a miss.

Soul Kiss by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book was hard for me to read. While I was sympathetic to Dylan because he had things happened to him that shouldn’t happen to anybody and I understood why he was the way he was, it was very hard for me to connect with him. The constant denial from his side was getting on my nerves.
But Kira was no flower either and they did have good connection in bed. Once again I wasn’t blown away by the story but I did like it. I just wish he didn’t fight his feelings so much.

Over all it was on OK read but i’m hoping there will be more of the WOW factor like there were in previous books.

Soul Kiss by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a brand new read for me for this relaunch. The first two books in the series were not. Black Velvet had so much more content than Bath Bomb did that it seemed new LOL Anywho, Dylan and Kira where a new story for me. I liked their story a lot, but I did not like the execution of their story as much. Meaning, for me, it took way too long for them to get their act together and stop the push/pull going on. I got a bit frustrated. A lot frustrated. I will admit that Madelynne has spoiled me with her sexual writing wizardry. I mean I just want all the sexual encounters all the time when I pick up one of her books! So, I had to take a step back and think about the story I was reading and surprisingly enough it was a lot better after I did that. This is a bodyguard story so of course there are suspenseful shenanigans going on all over the place, but I do wish Dylan was written a bit differently. I don’t want to give away plot points, but his denial got old fast.

This book wasn’t a hit for me but it also wasn’t a miss. I can say that if you’re anything like me, you’re going to read this book no matter what because it’s not just part of a series, it’s part of a group of people who are friends and I for one can’t just not read a book in a series like this LOL

Screw Driver (Stirred Passions Bomb Shots #1)

“Tyler Beauford is a truly awful lay!”

Faced with such a joyful headline my burgeoning acting career is doomed. Who wants a leading man with a hair trigger?

So, when my best-mate, Seth Lindsay, proposes a threesome with pop sensation Nixie Owen in order to restore my bad boy credentials, I figure, what’s to lose?

Too bad Seth omitted to mention a couple of things…

Screw Driver by Madelynne Ellis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Seriously?? SERIOUSLY!!! This novella did NOT just end like that…that was NOT enough…I demand more!!!

Tyler and Seth were blazing hot together. I loved the eye-opening for Tyler that being with Seth meant. This story was fast paced and short but the connection between MCs felt real and genuine.

Like said this was just to damn short – I feel like I’m cheated out of a great full length book ?

I WANT MOOOORE ❤️
