Years later, after Janey’s tragic death, Daisy is once again forced to face the only man who has ever made her heart pound.

All Mark wants is to be left alone to grieve in peace. For nearly two years, he’s lived in isolation, punishing himself for what happened to his fiancée. When Daisy comes to convince him to attend his baby sister’s wedding, his life of quiet grieving is shattered. Daisy makes him feel things he has no business feeling, but no matter how hard he tries, he can’t convince the force of nature that is Daisy Grace to leave him alone.

Daisy refuses to give up on him. If she can’t lift Mark out of the dark place he’s made for himself, the man she’s been falling in love with forever will be too far gone to save.

The Longest Fall by Anna Argent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Longest Fall is an emotional tale. Mark is mourning the physical loss of his fiancée. Daisy is mourning the emotional loss of her friend, and the man she loves.

I really enjoyed Mark. My heart broke for him as he was dealing with feelings. He cut himself off after the loss of Janey. He’s still deeply mourning her, and Daisy has decided it’s her job to bring him back to the land of the living.

Daisy is a character who, at first, comes off a bit wishy-washy. She feels like a contradiction. But, if you really understand her, you see that she’s a complex woman, making real life choices and see her joys and regrets that come with it.

The Longest Fall was a very interesting read. The storyline tackled the grieving man troupe in a unique way. The build up between the characters was fabulous. They oozed chemistry. However, the ending felt a bit flat for the intensity that preceded it. I was left wanting more and hope to see a bit more of them in future books.
